After early morning breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m) that takes about one and a half hour along the paved road. Climb off at Sundarijal bus station and begin your trek uphill Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. Stop at Mulkharka village for lunch and thereafter ascend to Borlang Bhanjyang (2430m) and trek down to Chisopani (2215m). Chisopani offers magnificent views from Annapurna to Everest and beautiful sunrise and sunset views.
Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot takes about six and half hours. You continue walking through charming trail that leads you to Nagarkot. Nagarkot (2175m) is by far one of the most popular hilltops to watch clear views of Himalaya range stretching from Dhaulagiri and Annapurna in the west to Everest and Kanchenjunga in the east. This is also best spot to view sunrise and sunset.
Stay overnight at hotel.
After experiencing the magical Nagarkot, you are guided along the hiking trail towards Dhulikhel. As you approach Dhulikhel, a plethora of cultural diversities, interesting traditional practices, lush vegetation and rich bird life unfolds before you. Dhulikhel is also a popular viewpoint to see Himlayan peaks.
Stay overnight in hotel.
Trek from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha and then to Panauti takes approximately four and a half hours and thereafter drive from Panauti to Kathmandu for about one and half hours.
From Dhulikhel, the trail gradually ascends to Namo Buddha (1750m), one of the four important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Kathmandu Valley. Afterwards trek from Namo Buddha on a level trail all the way to Panauti. Panauti is an ancient Newari town featuring Goddess Kali Temple.
Enjoy a short sightseeing in Panauti and then drive back to Kathmandu.
This is our first trek in Nepal. We only have one week here so we booked just a small trek (4days). We were met by Santosh, the cook + 4 porters which were organised by NEPAL ENVIRONMENTAL. Over the 4 day period Santosh and his team did everything possible to make our trek as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have made good friends over the last 4 days and hope to return to Nepal in the near future where our first part of call will be NEPAL ENVIRONMENTAL.
We went on the 3 days – 2 nights trek in Kathmandu valley. The whole package was excellent, sensational scenary, good routes, very nice accommodation and a great guide( Surya ). Many Thanks!
Every thing is perfect: Guide, carrier(good person). I have a particular preference for Galaxy Hotel at Naldum (Kavre) where meals are good and where we have a beautiful views from the top of the mountain. I recommend to all of you to go trekking with Environmental Organisation. See every body soon again !
