Overview

The Langtang valley trek or Langtang trek takes you through some of the most natural and beautiful environs on earth. The hike unfurls before you with myriad colorful flowers and alpine plants that stretch for miles. The Langtang Himal, in Langtang Region is geographically located towards the northern part of Kathmandu valley and it lies in close proximity to the south Tibetan border.

The Langtang valley is surrounded by high peaks of great appeal. It has become famous ever since the British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it as ''the most beautiful valley in the world''. The highest peak in this area is Shisapangma or Gosaithan (8027m) in Tibet. The course from the Langtang valley to Gosaikunda is full of diversity and has attracted thousands of trekkers from every corner of the universe.

The Langtang valley is also known as the ''treasure house of Alpine plants''. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and customs are similar to that of the Tibetans.

Langtang Valley Trekking

Dear Nava, First of all thank you for excellent trekking in Langtang Valley that I did at the end of October with your agency (after fifteen years!). It has been a really pleasure going the same places I have been years ago. As going with you was purely coincidence, it turned out as good as it can get. Because of that I am really sorry that I was not able to come to your office to thank you. However, the trek was perfect for me not just because of Langtang and beautiful weather, but also because of the guide that was with me. Ratna Prasad was perfect for me not just because we are almost the same age, but also because he is very experienced, helpful and, for me very important reason, very careful and not the type that needs a lot of talking/words to be understood. Through the entire trek we had a good time and not a single problem. We did everything I wanted, walk a lot places I did not see for the first time and did a lot of by pass roads that were on my wish list. Please tell him how happy I am with his work. He is real a cool guy! Hope to see you next year, if not for sure in two years time! Hope will do some trekking with your agency as soon as possible! Regards
