Manaslu Trek

Manaslu Trek

Lower Manaslu trek is an adventurous journey into the laps of Mt. Manaslu (8156m). It is basically a moderate trek offering experience of history, culture, nature and beautiful panorama of the Himalayas.

Lower Manaslu Trek starts off at the town of Gorkha, the seat of former Ghale and Shah kings, where you will be able to view the Gorkha palace, museum, Gorkakhnath Cave and the famous Mukinath Temple.

You will be trekking through typical Nepali villages with terraced farms, forests or rhododendron and pines, rivers, waterfalls and great views of the Himalayas. Along the trail you will be able to capture magnificent glimpses of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganash himal Buddha Himal, Budi Himal and Dr. Harka Gurung Chuli.

Barpak Village inhabited by the ex Gurkha soldiers is one of the most beautiful villages you will visit. Home to Gurung ethnic communities, the village was also the birthplace of late Capt. Gaje Ghale who was honored with Victoria Cross Medal. Barpak Village was destroyed by the earthquake of 2015 and is in the process of reconstruction.   Barpak Village along with the adjacent Laprak village provides an opportunity to experience unique Buddhist culture and customs of Gurung people.

You will also trek to Dharche Danda, one of the famous viewpoint, to watch a spectacular display of Himalayan peaks including Annapurna, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Barashikhar, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Langtang, Himal Chuli, Buddha Himal, Sringi Himal, Ganesh I, Ganesh II and Ganesh III.
