Overview

The recognised route for climbing Ombigaichen Peak is Lukla-Namche Bazaar, Ama Dablam Base Camp - Ombigaichen Base Camp. Mt. Ombigaichen lies in the Mahalangur Solukhumbu region of Nepal. The first climbing permit for this peak was issued in 2002 and is rarely climbed. 
 
The height of Ombigaichen peak is 6340 and from this Mt. one could have views of Himalayan peaks like Everest (8850), Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (9501m), Lhotse Shar (8383m), Makalu (8475m), Baruntse (7720m), and Ama Dablam (6856m) etc.
 
Ombigaichen peak climbing journey starts from Lukla slowly up towards the Dudh Kosi River, crossing a suspension bridge and start climbing up gradually towards a big hill to get to Namche Bazaar then trek continue to Tengboche-Ama Dablam Base Camp finally reaching the Ombigaichen Base Camp for Summit.
