Overview

Taj Riverside Resort and Adventure is one of the finest resorts and recreation centers in Nepal. It sits on the bank of the popular Sunkoshi River, a world class whitewater rafting destination.

There are many outdoor activities one can take up such as whitewater rafting in Sun Koshi River, boating and swimming, horse riding, village tour, tented camping along with hiking and bird watching in nearby hills.

The resort is located just off the B.P. Koirala Highway, in Mulkot, Sindhuli district. It takes 3 hrs drive (90km) from Kathmandu to reach there or 15 minute flight from Kathmandu to Manthali airport (Ramechap).

From the resort, one can easily access historical Sindhuli Gadhi in 1 hr or ancient Halesi Temple in Khotang within 3 hrs. The overall goal of the resort is to promote Mulkot and surrounding tourism sites as a potential destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Trip Itinerary

Gathering at Sorhakhutte. Drive to Mulkot at 13:00 hrs. Arrive at Taj Resort around 17:00 hrs.

Check in to hotel, get refreshed, have snacks and free for personal activities or relax at swimming pool. In the evening BBQ / DJ program will be arranged. Accommodation will be either in Tented Camp or in deluxe room or standard room according to your preference.

After breakfast be ready for rafting at 09:00 hrs. Drive to Khaireni for put in point in Sunkoshi River. Raft down the river for approx. 2 to 3 hrs. End rafting at Mulkot by Taj Resort & Adventure.

After lunch drive back to Kathmandu.
